Despite being a country with many riches, many of our fellow countrymen still remain poor and struggle to provide for their families. One potential solution that the government has explored in addressing this is through the development of microenterprises. Various initiatives have been done to support these by providing assistance in its establishment and expansion. This can be given in the form of physical resources like food carts or even financial support as much as P10,000 per family to start their own enterprise.

However, this leads to the question whether the beneficiaries are able to utilize these donations efficiently and effectively. With the existing market competition where quality and branding play a vital role, this type of program would only be effective with proper product development and marketing training.
Program Rationale
is a community-based intervention, geared into improve these livelihood programs through active and dynamic approaches and methods of empirical learning. This develops and improves managerial and individual skills of its learners. This is done through comprehensive modules and simulations specifically designed for the understanding of the urban poor, farmers, fisher folk, and the like. BrEEd also provides access to a rich network of experts and entrepreneurs across the region through its various partners.
